ABSTRACT
Article describes innovative solution for Scorpio 7 Martian rover’s suspension system, developed based on vehicle’s previous generation – Scorpio X. Machine had been intended to participate in Martian rovers’ competitions from Rover Challenge series. Analysis of parameters characterizing discussed suspension system was presented; with heavy emphasis on platform’s mass, deflection under working conditions, amount of space required and angular positions of paramount components. Those characteristics have been compared to values describing Scorpio X’s systems.
