ABSTRACT
The study proposes models of the drive systems of the warehouse stacker crane. On their basis, simulation tests of the energy consumption of the stacker crane were carried out in a given model work cycle. The model work cycle of the stacker crane took into account 10 randomly distributed locations of the rack nests that were operated by the stacker crane in the stockpicking mode and in the picking mode. The aim of these studies was to determine energy consumption and to enable an effectiveness comparison of devices from different suppliers. The simulation results showed significantly different energy consumption depending on the operating mode of the stacker crane. They inspire improvement of computational models and evaluation methods for various devices.
